For the past couple of years every Friday evening has seen St Monica's Parish Centre on Cannon Hill transformed into "St Harmonica's Blues Club" - three hours of excellent music, swift service of very reasonably priced drinks, and a great sociable atmosphere.  Starting this month, the same venue will be open on Sunday evenings too for "Unplugged Sundays at St Monica's".

unplugged sundays st monicasThe Sunday night gigs have been set up by Sharon Crowe and Colin Hook, the music loving team who run the Parish Centre and can be found behind the bar on Friday nights.  The formula for Unplugged Sundays is a simple one - they invite some of their favourite musicians to play in the intimate atmosphere of their welcoming bar.  The music will range from Irish folk to rock and everyone is welcome to come along.

There will be a variety of music played from Irish folk music to Rock.  Bookings for October and November are:
  • 19th October Harmonica Dave and Steve
  • 26th October Jessie Thomas and friends
  • 2 November That Blue Patch
  • 9 November Chris and Ed
  • 16 November- Craft fair so no music
  • 23 Nov Haunting AD
  • 30 Nov Dave Barnes
