opening of forty hall farmers marketThe opening ceremony for Forty Hall farmers market was carried out by the Mayor of Enfield, Cllr Christine Hamilton. Assisting her were (left to right) Emma Lundie (the Food Gatherer), Kate McGeevor (manager of Forty Hall Farm) and Kim Mansfield-Davies (the Food Gatherer)

The new Forty Hall Farmers' Market got off to a busy and successful start last Sunday.  An estimated 2,500 people visited the market, which was held at the same time as the second annual Forty Hall Village Fair.  They bought produce and street food from 25 different stalls.

The market, which will be held on the second Sunday of the month, is organised jointly by Forty Hall Farm and the Food Gatherer.  The next market will be on 10th June and will coincide with a guided bike ride around Forty Hall Park.
