Lucy Burton has asked me to help her find a new home for a Ukrainian mother and son.
For the past 14 months, we have been hosting a lovely Ukrainian mother and her 11 year old son who completed Y6 at Hazelwood and now attends Southgate School. They have been the perfect tenants - quiet, considerate and looking after our property as thought it was their own.
Since the situation in their home country continues to deteriorate, they are now looking for rental accommodation in the area. They are eligible to stay in the UK until at least 2025, have good English and she is employed. But the lack of a UK credit history and some reluctance to consider refugees as serious tenants are proving a barrier.
Does anyone know of a local landlord with a one or two bedroom property, who would understand their circumstances and be willing to consider them as genuine tenants?
