[Green Lanes Business Association Survey]

Question 1.  What do think is good about the area?

Good – it’s a nice area but does need some cleaning up

Question 2.  What do you think is less good about the area?

Less good – not enough shops to buy CD DVD etc. we need to find more parking areas

Question 3. What would you like to see to improve the area?

Improve – the pay and display system to be spread into side roads. Also cut the cost for parking to help the retailers in the area.

Question 4a. Specific aspects – traffic

Question 4b. Specific aspects – parking

Supports ½ hr free parking – would spend more free time in the area

Doesn’t support Sunday parking charges – I think the council should think about charging on Sundays as this will have a knock on effect on retailers. Shop empty business suffering.

Question 4c. Specific aspects – clutter

clutter – pavements need repair specially near the railway

Question 4d. Specific aspects – look of the shops/architecture

Look of shops – could do with a lick of paint!

Question 4e. Specific aspacts – type and range of shops

type of shops –need more fashion shops. Maybe a big name will attract people to the area.

Question 4g. Specific aspects – the Triangle public space

Triangle – the toilets should be taken away. And put some seating area and small garden with some flowers

Question 4h. Specific aspects – Greenery

Planters – put some more hanging baskets on green lanes

Any other comments

Other – pavements need to be cleaned and swept and bins cleared out with jet wash especially where the pubs are.

While we admire and support the Christmas campaigns that we see pop up in December, we also know that help is urgently needed all year round, each and every year. As some people pack away after the festive break, we are still here.

Our support is not limited to a food package, but it leaps beyond - we form connections, we listen and respond to everyone who steps through our doors. We open up a warm, safe, environment which aims to feel like a home away from home.

For us to continue to thrive and grow, and keep supporting as many people as possible, we are asking you to become a Friend of Cooking Champions. Even a donation of just £5-10 per month can make a HUGE impact on the lives of those who come through our doors.

Pop to our People's Fundraising page to donate, and we promise to keep you updated with how your support is making a difference. Thank you, we appreciate you! Team Cooking Champions
