If you have a bike that you no longer need, take it along to the North Mid hospital on Friday 24th February so that it can be reconditioned and passed on to an NHS worker or other person who needs one.

Donate your bike to Recirculate

Recirculateis a project that sources donated bikes from staff, business partners and the general public, renovates them in prison workshops at HMP Peterborough & HMP Aylesbury, and locates them with NHS staff and children whose families may not be able to afford to purchase a bike.

Donate your bikes on Friday 24th February 2023

If you have an bike to donate, please bring it to North Middlesex Hospital on Friday 24th February between 9am and 12pm. Bikes will then be repaired and renewed to bring them into working order before being donated to a staff member. You will find the project team by the main entrance. Donations of any type of bike is appreciated, particularly bikes for adults.

Please complete the form here to tell us about your bike so we know how many bikes to expect on the day. Please also complete the form if you have a bike to donate but you can’t bring it to the hospital.

155 bikes have already been given away to NHS staff, other key workers and families in need, but Recirculate have more requests from staff and are seeking more donations.

The Recirculate project was created in 2021 by three organisations: Bouygues E&S Solutions, a leader in energy, digital and industrial transformation; Vercity, a whole life leader of major infrastructure and property projects with societal impact; and Infrared, a market leading investment manager focused on infrastructure. The project aims to contribute to a circular economy whilst reducing social exclusion and promoting sustainable transport. Recirculate is expanding their service to provide other products, encouraging reusing and recycling, and improving sustainability.

25 bikes were donated to ReCirculate. The bikes will now be sent for refurbishment and will be given a new lease of life later in the year when they will find a new home with a member of staff at the North Mid hospital.
