HERE is about the diversity of interests, people and places in the suburbs of London

HERE is not in the West End, Southbank or Shoreditch

HERE in the suburbs we aren't the swanky super-rich, the celebrity glitterati or bearded hipsters

HERE is where the cinema creatives of London produce their best output

HERE is where life is a rich diversity of race, religion and culture

HERE is where most of London lives.

Talkies Community Cinema's second HERE suburban film festival runs from 6th to 27th April at four venues - the Fox in Palmers Green, Dugdale Centre in Enfield Town, Bounds Green Bowling and Tennis Club and at the bar in the Chickenshed theatre in Southgate.

The feature films on show are mainly small independent British productions that have a connection with suburbia.  And, as last year, the season includes the premiere screening of four new short films that were commissioned specifically for the festival.  All four will be shown at the Fox on 27th April, the last night of the festival.

  • Stella Macdonald - For Our Cockroaches
  • Nick Flugge - Cul de Sac
  • Gary Roberts - The Problemless Anonymous
  • Adam Butcher - A Date with an Enfield
