While we admire and support the Christmas campaigns that we see pop up in December, we also know that help is urgently needed all year round, each and every year. As some people pack away after the festive break, we are still here.

Cycle Enfield's latest consultation and construction update
Below is a brief description of the progress of work in each of the area we are currently working. It is not an exhaustive list and may be subject to change due to adverse weather conditions.
Green Dragon Lane to York Road
Most substantive work on this section is complete. Additional tree planting will take place until mid-March.

The onward march of developers converting office buildings into flats continues. Local examples include the distinctive curved office "Black Horse" block near Cockfosters Station. More recently there has been an application concernging the Office Village in Southgate (behind the White Hart in Chase Road) and now a property company is planning to covert the large block in Green Lanes, Winchmore Hill - Capitol House, which was originally built to accommodate civil servants.
The Friends of Broomfield Park launch their 2017 season of special events in Broomfield Conservatory this Sunday, starting with a Sketching Workshop. The workshop is suitable for people of all ages and there'll be paper and pencils available, or you can bring your own coloured crayons or pastels. If you need any help, artist Cathy Taylor will be along to advise and assist.

The Remembrance Garden Temple
A campaign by the Friends of Broomfield Park to restore the Park's Remembrance Garden has finally succeeded. Enfield Council notified the Friends this week that the War Memorial Trust has agreed to a grant of £63,270 to the Council. This represents 75 per cent of the total cost - the remainder will be paid by the Council

Extra weekday evening and weekend GP appointments
If you are registered with a GP practice in Enfield, (or resident in Enfield but have yet to register with an Enfield GP practice), you can now benefit from an appointment with a GP, or other healthcare professional, on weekday evenings, weekends and bank holidays at our new primary care access hub.
Urgent and routine appointments, either same day or pre-bookable, are available from 6.30pm to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 8pm weekends and.......
