The following information is taken from the latest Cycle Enfield newsletter.  Dates may affected by adverse weather.

Please note that there will be overnight road closures for resurfacing of the main carriageway in the vicinity of the big Sainsbury's store between 24th February and 3rd March

 

Green Dragon Lane to York Road

The next two weeks will see a variety of work including completing road line marking as well as the installation of a tree pit at Mason’s corner,  new cycle stands as well as signage and belisha beacon crossings. The work on this section is scheduled to be complete by late February 2017.


Borden Avenue to Walnut Grove

We will be removing and replacing a bus shelter, completing drainage work as well as replanting the flower bed and replanting a new tree outside the church. Resurfacing of this section is expected to start the week commencing  27 February.

Work is expected to be complete by the end of March.


Sainsbury’s Junction

Upcoming work includes the building of the bus stop, the installation of segregation island and central islands to assist safer crossings, as well as the commissioning of signals.

Work to lay a new surface for the main carriageway on Green Lanes between Carpenter Gardens and Queen’s Avenue (A105) will take place overnight, between 10pm and 6am, for one night starting on the evening of Friday 24 February. Please note that Highfield Road and the Sainsbury’s entrance will be closed to vehicles during this work .

Surfacing work will also take place on Green Lanes (A105) between Borden Avenue and Walnut Grove overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 27 February for five nights.

During this work the following side roads will be closed overnight: Borden Avenue, Conifer Gardens, Teynham Avenue, Park Avenue, Sittingbourne Avenue, Faversham Avenue, Mortimer Drive, Regency Court Walnut Grove and the Green Lanes between Walnut Grove and Borden Avenue.

Work is expected to be complete by mid March.


Station Road Junction

Work will start on the installation of kerb lines, paving work and vital drainage engineering. In addition, work will begin on the cycle lane, as well as introducing some new green space.

The work on this section is scheduled to be complete by late May 2017.


 Church Street junction with Bush Hill Road

We are currently installing segregation and central islands to make pedestrian crossings safer, as well as installing signals and completing drainage works.

Work on this section is expected to be complete by mid April.


Lodge Drive to Osborne Road

Starting in early February we will be working between Bourne Hill/Hedge lane and Fox lane roundabout in order to install new kerb lines along this area. We will also be installing drainage, paving and signalling. Work on this section is scheduled to be completed by mid September 2017.


Radcliffe Road to Riverbank

Over the next two weeks we will be installing a new kerb line and cycle lane as well as improving drainage.

The work on this section is scheduled to be completed by mid June 2017.
