201910 palmers green flea posterFor two days in mid-November a vacant shop at the heart of Palmers Green will be transformed into a veritable emporium selling all things vintage.

The PG Vintage Flea will be held on 16th and 17th November in the store in Green Lanes that was vacated by Iceland in 2017 year and for many years before that was home to Woolworths.

More than forty vintage traders will be selling high quality clothes, accessories, homeware, vinyl and furniture. This will be a fantastic opportunity to buy unique pre-loved fashion pieces and pick up quirky items for your home.

PG Vintage Flea is the brainchild of Cara McDonagh, who owns the vintage business Tatty Bits, and has been organised in partnership with Palmers Green Action Team. The intention is to provide a real boost to the high street, breathing new life into a vacant shop and attracting people to the area. Stitch!, Palmers Green's community enterprise craft hub, will also be involved, running craft sessions, and tea and cake will be on hand to keep your energy up.

Cara McDonagh said, "North London is crying out for a new vintage fair and PG Vintage Flea is a fantastic opportunity to bring some retro pizazz to the people of Palmers Green. Hand picked traders, many of them local, will be selling beautiful vintage fashion, quirky wares and unique collectables, all available under one roof."

Liz Robinson from the Palmers Green Action Team said: “We’ve been looking at a number of ways to make the area more interesting and engaging for the community and PG Vintage Flea is a great example of doing something different with a vacant shop and creating a buzz on the high street."

The Flea will be open from 10am to 5pm with different traders across both days. Entry is free.
