This week there have been two instances in Palmers Green of cars mounting the pavement and causing damage. Fortunately, it seems that in neither case were there any injuries to people walking along the pavement - but if there had been, they would probably have been killed or seriously injured.
The first incident happened in Fox Lane on Sunday evening. After hitting and wrecking a parked car, the car that was out of control ended up damaging railings adjacent to the railway bridge. .......

Borden Avenue to Walnut Grove – The final section of line marking and cycle segregation units has been installed. The rain garden outside St Stephen’s has been installed and further work will continue to replace the raised flower beds and other landscaping work. The future of a historic well in Barnet, with a Samuel Pepys association, is looking more assured thanks to a collaborative project between Barnet Museum, Historic England and the Heritage of London Trust.
Barnet Physic Well, situated near Barnet Hospital on land that was once Barnet Common, was dug in the 17th century to provide a source of chalybeate spring water, which supposedly had healing properties. The mock tudor wellhouse, which dates from 1937, is a Grade II listed building but.......

As part of the Cycle Enfield works, resurfacing of Green Lanes at and near the junction with Station Road and Fords Grove will be carried out overnight for four nights starting on Monday 10th April. Buses 329 and N29 will be diverted away from Winchmore Hill between 8pm and 5am.
The section that will not be covered is likely to be between Bush Hill Parade ("Church Street" bus stop) and the Green Lanes/Hedge Lane/Bourne Hill junction in Palmers Green.

Borden Avenue to Walnut Grove - We will continue to install cycle segregation units until early April. Line marking will continue this week. The bus shelter outside the church will be replaced at a later date by Transport for London. Work is expected to be complete by the mid April.
