Beyond Colour 2: an exhibition of monochrome photography by Cliff Docherty

Saturday 6 January until Sunday 21 January (not every day)

Arbeit Studio & Gallery Space, Rear of 310 Green Lanes N13 5TT

202401 beyond colour 2

Cliff Docherty's second Beyond Colour exhibition of monochrome photography will be open over three weekends in January, but visitors to other events at Arbeit Studios will also be able to view it at times when other events are on at the studios.

Cliff's work was recently featured in a solo show at the Dugdale Arts Centre and in numerous group shows at leading venues throughout London.

During the exhibition's run at Arbeit Studios, Cliff will be inviting PG residents to an afternoon workshop (date tbc) exploring how photography can help improve people's wellbeing.

As well as pursuing his love of photography, Cliff works in healthcare, where his roles include managing a team of social prescribers who support patients who would like to become more active or involved in creative pursuits as a means to improving their wellbeing and physical health.

Cliff says:

“Whether you have an expensive camera or the phone in your pocket, we can use these as a tool to spark a creative interest. Photography has gotten me out of the house on many occasions and I’ve discovered some amazing places right here in London as a result, but it also slows me down and makes me take time and be a little reflective, and that’s not a bad thing when we lead such busy lives. You don’t have to be a great artist but if the end result gives you pleasure, that is a wonderful thing to feel and incredibly affirming.”
