High Street Happenings: Exhibition of art by Abi Ola

Abi Ola was selected as Arbeit Studios first Artist in Residence, this exhibition is the culmination of her work during the residency and a wider display of her practice.

During her residency with Arbeit Studios Abi has been thinking about what the High Street means to her, as a life-long resident of Palmers Green.
She has been experimenting with flowers, photography, collage, painting and drawing whilst on this residency. Symbols can act like a type of writing to convey a message, for example, pictographs, and street signs communicate a lot of information through simple imagery.
Abi wants to make her own vocabulary of unique motifs which each person can interpret differently.
