St Harmonica's Blues Club: Tim Penn & the Second Line + Simon Hindley & Little Paul

Tim Penn and the Second Line entertain us this Friday, and there really is no-one better at delivering that New Orleans and Louisiana sound than ‘The Professor’. One of the outstanding pianists in British Blues, a regular at Ronnie Scott’s, we are delighted to welcome him back to St Harmonica’s leading his 5-piece band the Second Line, one of the top New Orleans R&B outfits playing around London. It’s refreshing to see a true piano-led evening and If you like Professor Longhair, Dr John, Allen Toussaint, James Booker, Huey Smith and The Clowns, then this is a band that you won’t want to miss. In Tim’s own words “This is the blues, but with a great big smile on its face”.

Support comes from the established duo of Simon Hindley providing guitar and vocals with Little Paul adding harmonica, mandolin and wit who will play at 8.30pm followed by two sets from Tim Penn and the Second Line starting around 9.15pm.

2024 Membership Cards

Membership cards for 2024 are available on the door at just £10 for the year. Admission is free to card carrying members to all Friday Blues evenings and Sunday Jam nights. We just ask for a contribution into the hat to go towards the musicians’ fees.
