While we admire and support the Christmas campaigns that we see pop up in December, we also know that help is urgently needed all year round, each and every year. As some people pack away after the festive break, we are still here.
Our support is not limited to a food package, but it leaps beyond - we form connections, we listen and respond to everyone who steps through our doors. We open up a warm, safe, environment which aims to feel like a home away from home.

This week there have been two instances in Palmers Green of cars mounting the pavement and causing damage. Fortunately, it seems that in neither case were there any injuries to people walking along the pavement - but if there had been, they would probably have been killed or seriously injured.
The first incident happened in Fox Lane on Sunday evening. After hitting and wrecking a parked car, the car that was out of control ended up damaging railings adjacent to the railway bridge. .......
Introducing to the area a new, friendly group with an emphasis on promoting the huge mental and physical positives that laughter brings.
The free local community group sessions will use a variety of techniques and exercises to stimulate laughter, break down boundaries and reap the resultant benefits. Your mood will be lifted, stress levels will be lowered and your health and well-being will be improved. All you need to bring is yourself (and some family and friends!!) and an open mind........
Sheryl Randhawa, who runs weekly hatha yoga sessions at Palmers Green Library, is hoping to start yoga classes specifically for people recovering from illness. She is currently trying to assess demand for the class and determine the best day and time, so please get in touch with her if you are interested.

There have been a number of Mobile Phone snatch thefts and attempted thefts in the Palmers Green area and across Enfield Borough into Haringey.
Thieves are riding mopeds onto the pavement and are snatching phones from victims' hands while they are using their handsets. Don't make yourself an easy target. Please be aware of your surroundings when using your phone and take note of the advice below.
Don't give thieves an easy opportunity: think before you use your phone in public.......
Carers’ Support Appointments are now available at the Ruth Winston Community Centre
The Ruth Winston Community Centre is now working with Enfield Carers Centre to provide additional support to families and carers at the Ruth Winston Community Centre.
A support worker from Enfield Carers Centre will be here on the first Wednesday of each month from 10.00am – 12 noon for one to one support meetings.

Four months to go before the biggest event in the PG calendar - the Palmers Green Festival. This year the Festival will be back in Broomfield Park on 3rd September.

The 2017 Festival will look, feel and sound very similar to last year and the year before, but in its tenth year there will need to be some changes behind the scenes.
