The Enfield Over 50s Forum has added its voice to the campaign against Enfield Council's proposals to close eight smaller libraries. It has launched a petition calling on the council to instead make use of community libraries to 'protect, serve and strengthen' the borough's neighbourhoods and communities.

The police have issued a statement and appeal for information after a teenage boy was found in Green Lanes, Palmers Green, with stab wounds on Monday afternoon. London Ambulance Service sent a helicopter, which landed in Broomfield Park. The victim's condition was assessed as not life threatening or life changing.
