Enfield Archaeological Society has published a report on the excavation that its members carried out in late April and early May behind the ruins of Broomfield House. Two trenches were dug in order to investigate a 'presumed water feature' known from previous archaeological evidence. EAS has concluded that the 'canal' that they unoovered was too shallow to have been intended for significant water supply.
