Arbeit Studios: Palmers Green Launch Exhibition

@arbeitstudios presents Palmers Green Studios Launch Exhibition, a free group exhibition featuring local artists and creatives.

Coinciding with the launch of Arbeit’s newest site in Palmers Green, Arbeit has invited local artists and creatives to contribute to the celebrations by displaying their artwork. Thirteen creatives and one collective have been selected, showcasing a wide range of media and practices, from painting and illustration, to photography and moving image.  The selected artwork demonstrates a broad range of topics, including still life, nature and urban landscapes, and varied styles. The two documentary short films displayed explore betting shop culture and gambling addiction, and the creative process behind mural making.

In addition to the installed artwork, on Saturday 22 April, Mural Artist @eloisa.artist will be producing a new site specific mural. This will feature as an entrance artwork leading to the new exhibition space. Visitors can watch as the mural unfolds throughout the day.

Palmers Green Studios:

Managed by Arbeit, the site in Palmers Green is opening in partnership with Enfield Council. With support from the Palmers Green Workspace Launch Fund, the launch event introduces Arbeit Studios to the local area.  

In addition to the creative workspaces available to local artists, designers and creatives, the Palmers Green Studios will be offering a programme of events and activities. Arbeit’s vision is to work with the local creative community to activate the new studio site, support other town centre activities and support the work of The Palmers Green Action Team that include the Devonshire Square market and other ongoing projects. As part of this activation programme, Arbeit will be offering a studio with waived charges (Ts&Cs Apply), exhibition space for artist residencies and maker pop-up markets.
