A week of free fun activities to bring residents together to learn, make and connect.

Activities will take place across multiple high street venues.

Booking on to activities is essential.

Tuesday 2nd May

Sanitary Pad Workshop, Fore Street Living Room Library, 2-5pm

Learn how to make your own reusable and hygienic sanitary pads out of fabric materials with The Girl Can: Period. The workshop is open to everyone and aims to raise awareness about period poverty.

Women's Snooker & Pool Night, Cousins Snooker & Pool Club, 169-171 Fore Street, 7-9pm

Cousins Snooker & Pool Club are welcoming women of all abilities to come together for a free game of snooker and/or pool. Whether you're experienced or have never played before, Cousins want to encourage more women into the sport in a safe space to learn and meet new people while doing so.

Please be aware that there is no step-free access to Cousins Snooker & Pool Club.

Stitch it, Bead it, Bag it!, Fore Street Living Room Library, 2-5pm

Learn needlework embroidery to customise a reusable tote bag with your own designs at this drop-in workshop.

Seed Sowing Workshop, Fore Street Living Room Library, 3.30-5.30pm

Learn how to sow seeds with local Bafta award gardener, Mr Samuda.

Pageturners Bookclub, Fore Street Living Room Library, 5.30-7pm

Join a local bookclub to meet new people and discuss books. The bookclub is currently reading 'The Motorcycle Diaries' by Ernesto 'Che' Guevara.

Fore Street For All is offering to buy the book for any participants who do not have it. Please just let us know when booking a ticket via Eventbrite.

Thursday 4th May

Aquaponics and Microgreens Workshop for school children, St John & St James Primary School, 1-2pm

Local grower Chris Chapisto will deliver a closed educational workshop introducing children to aquaponic farming and microgreens.

Natural Dyes Workshop, Fore Street Living Room Library, 1-4.30pm

Artist Elizabeth Salazar Guerra will be delivering a workshop to introduce people to natural dyes. Participants will learn the process of bundle dye that uses the botanical dyes from plant material to create a fabric design.

Participants are asked to bring along flowers, leaves, onion skin, avocado pits, small seeds and twigs.

Grief Journeys, Fore Street Living Room Library, 6.30-8pm

Come to a safe space to express your love and share your grief with a supportive community. A workshop where we will use art, music, books and writing to express our grief safely.

Indigo Gypsies Live Performance, The Gilpin's Bell, 9-10pm

A collection of crazy mother funkers who musical style is rooted in traditional Turkish, Moroccan (Gnawa) and Celtic traditions fused with modern 20th century contemporary pulse raising rock and roll, foot tapping blues and booty shaking funk melodies.

Sunday 7th May

Enfield People's Theatre Open Drama Workshop, Fore Street Living Room Library, 11am-2pm

Come along to find out more and get involved in the Edmonton community play that Enfield People's Theatre are organising. 'Bread and Roses' is an intergenerational community play about the incredible women that led the Edmonton 1915 rent strike. The play also explored stories of people suffering from the housing crisis today.

Planting Workshop, Angel Community Garden, Rays Road, N18 2NX, 1-3pm

Take a tour around Angel Community Garden and learn planting techniques from local Bafta award gardener, Mr Samuda.

Bollywood Dance Class, Fore Street Living Room Library, 3-4pm

Come along to learn some Bollywood dance routines, open to all ages and abilities
