Join Kate Anolue, a former Mayor of Enfield, to discuss her latest book and buy a signed copy.

As the first, as well as the only African/Nigerian to be Mayor twice in the same borough, Dr Kate Anolue worked hard to promote the rich culture and a positive image of Nigeria throughout Enfield. She worked for the NHS and practiced midwifery for forty years, accumulating a wealth of knowledge in many health and social care issues.

Coupled with over ten years of experience in local government politics, Kate Anolue has become an applauded community champion addressing matters concerning safer neighbourhoods, single parenthood, children and young people.

Dr Kate Anolue was born in Nigeria and moved to the UK after the devastating civil war. A former midwife, Kate studied law and became an expert in medical negligence cases, supporting her colleagues as their Royal College of Midwives' (RCM) Steward. She has given 40 years' service to the NHS. A woman of action, duty and purpose, Kate has been a councillor for the London Borough of Enfield for over twenty years, and has served as their Mayor twice. She is currently the CEO of Tender Care Health Initiative, and the Founder and President of Forum for Africans, African Caribbean and Asian Women in Politics.
