Our screening will take place in this stunning public space set against the historic backdrop of the 14th Century St. Andrews Church and Grade II listed Kings Head pub. So bring a chair and a picnic as CYCLE-IN CINEMA comes to Enfield where we encourage film fans to attend with people-powered wheels.

Film Synopsis:
Wickedly funny and much admired all around the world, THE LADYKILLERS is considered by many as one of best of the Ealing Comedies and even British cinema. An unforgettable cast of characters star in a thrilling, dark and funny tale of a dastardly gang of criminals who plot the crime of the century preparing for every possible danger yet overlooking one under their nose – their seemingly harmless elderly landlady Mrs. Wilberforce (played the fabulous Katie Johnson).

Dapper thief Professor Marcus (Alec Guinness) rents rooms in the kindly widow’s home for himself and his band of cohorts including the sinister Louis Harvey (Herbert Lom), the pompous and pathetic major (Cecil Parker) and a clueless, cockney spiv (Peter Sellers in his first big film role).

Planning a bank robbery and posing as a string quintet, the gang soon unravel and their despicable greed soon grows into something much more malevolent…
