St Harmonica's Blues Club: Frankie Connolly

Friday 23 September 8.30pm

The Southgate Club, 17 Chase Side, N14 5BP (Entrance is in Crown Lane)

202209 frankie connolly at st harmonicas

We’re delighted to welcome Frankie and his band back to St Harmonicas to perform some original and classic blues in Frankie’s inimitable style. He is simply one of the most exciting young guitarists on the planet with a growing reputation at home and abroad. Frankie first played St Harmonica's as an 18 year old as part of ‘Serious Blues’ when his playing caused audible thuds as jaws dropped to the floor! On Friday he brings his own band of absolutely top drawer musicians, and Frankie has hinted strongly at an appearance by world renowned pedal steel player (and local resident) BJ Cole. They share a mutual admiration for each other’s playing. You will be absolutely staggered by the quality of what they do, and by Frankie’s ability as a band leader.

The following video gives you a flavour of the maturity and quality of his vocals and playing:

The support act is also very impressive in the form of acoustic duo Pulling Strings : Tig Trafford with Simon Bennett

See you there for what should be be a lovely evening. Admission is free with your annual St Harmonica’s Blues Club membership card.

If you haven’t bought your 2022/23 card yet it will cost you just £10 on the door.
